Orders placed on our website purely-science.com are shipped with The Courier Guy, our courier partner. Currently we do not ship outside South African borders and also not to P.O. boxes. We also do not accept P.O. Box billing addresses or international billing addresses.
Ensure that your shipping information/address is correct to prevent errors and delays in shipping. If changes need to be made to the shipping address or information regarding your order, please let us know as soon as possible at orders@purely-science.com. We will do everything possible to ensure the correct delivery of your order; additional delivery charges may however be payable.
Delivery is free for orders over R1500. For orders less than R1500, a variety of delivery options and costs is provided at checkout; you select your preferred delivery time and cost. The shipping time reflected at the different delivery options are the transit time of the courier; it does not reflect the processing time and the packing of the order. Orders are typically processed in 24-48 hours from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
Please take note: once your order is delivered at the shipping address you provided, we see the order as complete. We do not have to prove that you personally signed for the order, anybody can accept the delivery, so please make sure that there is someone you trust at the shipping address you provide to accept the parcel.
In rare cases, it is possible that the delivery time of your order can be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, like adverse weather, closed roads, strikes etc. However, this is not grounds for a refund or cancellation of your order. We advise you to contact us if your order has not been delivered within the estimated time indicated so that we can follow-up with the courier.

Return of unopened products:
If you want to return the product(s) you bought, let us know at orders@purely-science.com within 7 days of receiving your order. Please remember that the product(s) must be unopened, unused, and in the same condition and packaging as you received it. If the reason(s) for the return is valid and approved, we will let you know. It is your responsibility to return the product(s) to us, in the unopened/unused condition accepted, within 7 days of approval of the return. The costs associated with the return must be paid by you.
Once the returned item has been checked, reviewed, and our team confirmed that the item is in its original condition, you will be refunded, less the courier fee. The refund will be done in the form of the original tender of the order.
If your return has been rejected after inspection, we will notify you via email.
Return of opened products:
If you want to return opened product(s), let us know at orders@purely-science.com within 7 days of receiving your order. We require before-and/or-after photos to process a refund for opened products within 14 days of receiving your order & using the product. If the reason(s) for the return is valid and approved, we will let you know. It is your responsibility to return the product(s) to us, within 7 days of approval of the return. The costs associated with the return must be paid by you.

Return of defective goods:
Please inspect your order upon reception and inform us within 7 days of delivery if the item is defective or damaged at orders@purely-science.com.
Refunds are dealt with on a case-by-case basis and are generally processed within 3 working days.
Please do not discard the item, we might send our courier to collect the item for quality assurance purposes.
Return of products due to adverse reactions:
Some of our products contain active ingredients which can cause mild irritation of the skin upon initial exposure. We thus recommend using these products not more than three times per week initially and then gradually increasing to desired use. Please consult the product profile of each product before usage to familiarise yourself with the ingredients as well as the recommended application.
If you have developed a more severe reaction to any of our products, please contact us on orders@purely-science.com or marietjie@purely-science.com and we will ensure that the issue is resolved.
Refunds on products causing an adverse reaction will be judged on an individual basis following the opened product policy (i.e., before-and/or-after photos).
Cancellations and modifications to orders
If you want to cancel an order, please send an email to orders@purely-science.com as soon as possible. We usually process orders as quickly as possible and may not be able to accommodate your request, but we will try to assist you as far as possible.
Unfortunately, we are unable to cancel single items from an order. You will be refunded for any cancelled items.
If you need to update your shipping address or any other contact information, please send an email to orders@purely-science.com.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs when returning your item.

We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item, so please keep the tracking information for your package in case it is needed.

We do not accept walk-in returns/exchanges. Please send an email to orders@purely-science.com to start the return/exchange process.

Returns of orders that were paid by gift card, will be processed and a new gift card will be issues and sent to the customer’s original email address.

Only products purchased on purely-science.com will be eligible for return/exchange.

Original shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

Gift cards are not refundable.

Items purchased at a discounted price, or as part of a set, are not eligible for an exchange.

Partial sets/bundles can not be returned, only complete sets/bundles.

You can exchange two products that have the same pricing (excluding any discount).

Products that are nearly empty, tampered with or filled with other products are not refundable.

Purely Science (Pty) Ltd. is not responsible for the refund of any items that have been damaged or lost from personal usage (stolen, spilled, mishandled, damaged).
